Hamilton Singers performing at secular music concert

A CONCERT of secular music by Warrnambool composer, Ken Stott, featuring the much-loved local group, The Hamilton Singers, will be held tomorrow at 3pm at the Lutheran Church in Tarrington.

After experiencing three years of delays and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert, ‘Let all creation rise’, will finally be held for members of the community to enjoy.

Two choirs from Warrnambool - Cantori and the Merri Singers - will combine with The Hamilton Singers for a showstopping performance accompanied by a twelve-piece orchestra, organ and piano.

Talented local, Beth Tonissen, will also feature in the performance as a conductor, alongside the composer, Ken Stott, with guest soloists also set to take the stage.

For those who miss the initial performance, a second concert will be held at Warrnambool’s Christ Church on Henna Street on Sunday, April 2 from 3pm, which will be recorded live.

The event will allow attendees to celebrate Ken Stott’s choral work, with refreshments and the opportunity to meet the musicians provided once the concert has concluded.

The event is part of the Warrnambool and District Easter Arts Festival.
