CONTROVERSY has persistently followed the legal career of former Magistrate Richard Pithouse, who has resigned after an investigation into his in-court behaviour was announced last month.

Chief Magistrate, Justice Lisa Hannan, confirmed on Tuesday that Mr Pithouse had resigned effective from Friday, March 24.
