AS the weather cools and autumn sets in, the Country Fire Authority (CFA) has reminded landowners that fire restrictions are still in place across the Southern Grampians Shire and burning off is prohibited without a permit.

While there has been some recent rain in the area, it is still not yet safe, or legal, to conduct private burn offs without an approved permit.
