It’s grouse to work on the lighthouse

PORTLAND Precision Engineering workshop supervisor Kane Rogers with some of the lighthouse repairs the company is undertaking. The weather vane on his right is from the Cape Northumberland Lighthouse near Port MacDonnell and is very similar to the vane on the Cape Nelson Lighthouse which will also require repair.

WHEN it comes to job satisfaction, it would be hard to beat what’s going on in a Portland business at present.

Portland Precision Engineering is working on a series of lighthouse restorations, including the one on Cape Nelson Lighthouse detailed in the Observer in December, and it’s work that’s right up the business’s alley.
