RIST is pleased to announce the launch of
the Jeremy Upton Agricultural Scholarship
Program.
The scholarship fund is named in honour of
Jeremy Upton who tragically passed away in
January.
Jeremy was a highly respected leader in the
agricultural industry who was dedicated to
helping others, especially new entrants to
agriculture achieve their best potential.
The Jeremy Upton Agricultural Scholarship
Program is designed to provide financial
assistance to students pursuing vocational
training courses at RIST.
By supporting the education of the next
generation of agricultural leaders, the
scholarship program aims to contribute to the
long-term sustainability and success of the
industry.
“We are proud to be part of this initiative,
which honours the legacy of a true leader in
the agricultural industry,” said Barbara Young,
Acting Chairman of RIST.
“The Jeremy Upton Agricultural Scholarship
Program represents our commitment to
supporting aspiring agricultural professionals
and creating opportunities for talented and
motivated individuals.”
The scholarship program will be administered
by RIST through their Scholarship Fund with
scholarships awarded based on financial need,
academic merit, and a demonstrated interest in
pursuing a career in agriculture.
The scholarship fund is open to all eligible
students, regardless of their background or
circumstances.
“We believe that education is the key to the
future of the agricultural industry, and RIST is
committed to supporting the next generation of
agricultural leaders,” said Bill Hamill, Chief
Executive of RIST.
“We are excited to launch the Jeremy Upton
Agricultural Scholarship Program and look
forward to working with our donors to make
a positive impact on the future of agriculture.”
