AN elderly Coleraine resident went missing last Saturday night after she went on a walk at 4pm and couldn’t be found.
There was a Victoria Police helicopter that joined the search and people in the community of Coleraine published in many Facebook groups and pages to help notify other people to help find her as quickly as possible.
The SES also joined in on the search to try and find the elderly lady before it got too late.
Curly’s Pizza reopened in the early hours of Sunday morning to deliver pizzas to the SES and volunteers in Coleraine to recognise them for their hard work in the search.
The lady was eventually found safe and asleep in a stranger’s bedroom just three houses down from her property.
