CONCERNS have been raised about a solar business from outside the area calling Dunkeld residents and claiming endorsement from the Southern Grampians Shire Council.

Council was contacted and said it does not endorse any private business that offers solar panel installation.

“Whilst energy sustainability is important, it is not appropriate for Council to endorse third party solar panel suppliers,” SGSC chief executive, Tony Doyle said.

Mr Doyle encouraged people in the Shire to always research companies they are considering engaging for such services.
