THE Hamilton Baptist Church will be starting a playgroup with the first session on July 19 from 9.30am to 11am – registration is on July 12 at 9.30am inside the church.

The Little Wonders Playgroup has been organised by team leader, Chris Wildgoose.

Mrs Wildgoose said that the church wants to provide something else in Hamilton for mums and dads with young children to do because a lot of things stopped during COVID-19 and many of these have not been restarted.

“The playgroup is also for members of our church who have young kids and want them to do something,” she said.

The playgroup will meet every Wednesday morning at the Baptist church at 48-50 Gray Street.

Some of the activities during the playgroup sessions will consist of painting, art and craft, playdough, playing with blocks, cars and trains. The activities are very similar to what you would see in a kindergarten, but are also tailored for younger children and there will be activities for babies as well to allow many age groups to get involved.

There will also be some religious based content given that the playgroup is run by the church.
