THE reopening of the southbound or outbound lane of Cox St this week has been welcomed by locals. Southern Grampians Shire Council posted about the change on social media and acknowledged the patience of drivers. The statement said, “The contractor responsible for the Cox Street Redevelopment project site, MACA Civil, has submitted a new Traffic Management Plan to VicRoads (the road owner) to remove the bollards and re-open the lane. This action will restore traffic flow whilst Council works with MACA Civil on the next course of action to progress the project. We thank the community for their patience and cooperation.
