A FORMER Hamilton and Cavendish resident has found himself in the middle of a frenzy of mainstream media interest during the week after he called for the return of some deeply personal items stolen from his home in Buninyong, south-east of Ballarat.

Alistair Stewart has been left shaken by the extent of the apparently professional burglary that happened while he was on holiday with his wife last month, but overriding his own personal impact was his concern to see his late father’s World War II medals again.
