Divided opinion on 60-day script dispensing

AFTER the Cheaper Medicines policy recently passed in the Senate and is set to come into effect in a few weeks’ time, it is still unclear whether the new policy will be a good thing for regional areas.

Rural Doctors Association of Australia (RDAA) president, Dr Megan Belot, called it a great win for rural doctors and said not only would patients be saving money, but they will also be able to reduce their visits to the GP in addition to the pharmacy.
