TEACHERS from Hamilton district high schools will stop work tomorrow in protest over a move to introduce inspections for promotion of teachers to senior administrative positions. Teachers from the Victorian Secondary teachers’ Association western region will meet in Hamilton tomorrow morning to protest about the move. However, some schools will not be greatly affected by the strike, including Hamilton High School where less than six teachers will take part in the mass protest. Tomorrow’s meeting in the VRI Hall at 10 a.m. will be chaired by the region’s VSTA representative, Mr. Andy Edwards, of Ararat High School, and at least 10 schools are expected to be represented.
