FURTHER disruption to traffic at Cox Street will continue with the announcement of the Lonsdale St roundabout being closed while the works continue.

Southern Grampians Shire Council said the closure will be for “approximately two-and-a-half weeks” from today.

“The closure is required to enable council contractors to safely upgrade the underground water main and associated drainage as part of the Cox Street Redevelopment Project,” the statement said.

“Customers can still access businesses along Cox Street, but please adhere to the traffic signage and drive carefully.”
