HAMILTON Police are appealing to the public to come forward with information, particularly those who may have witnessed the two-ute collision at the roundabout on the corner of Mt Baimbridge and Coleraine Road near Baimbridge College last Tuesday morning.
The accident involved 19-year-old Travis Foster-Edwards from Hamilton who was remanded in custody after police deployed a taser and OC foam when arresting him for allegedly stealing the ute he was driving.
Foster-Edwards was alleged to have stolen the Ford utility last Monday night, before being seen by several witnesses to be driving erratically and speeding more than 140 kilometres per hour before crashing.
