RAISING money for the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is never far from Hamilton Lions Club member, Allan Hadden’s mind. This time he is organising a Hamilton Lions Club golf day with big prize money on offer.

To be held at the Hamilton Golf Club, the Ambrose competition at a cost of $220 per team of four will commence at 10am for a shotgun start at 11am on February 4, 2024.

It promises to be a great day for everyone competing whilst generating funds for a worthy cause, with first prize $1000, second prize $500, and third place $200.

Mr Hadden said it would be a great day with many golfers coming from different areas to support the event.

“It’s certainly a great opportunity to ensure a great event can become an annual event with all monies raised going to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal,” he said.

“We have included several novelty events during the day, and there will be an auction of goods donated by various Hamilton businesses, and of course a very popular spinning wheel. 

Mr Hadden encouraged golfers of all grades to make up a team and spend a great day playing golf at the prestigious Hamilton course.

“Your support will ensure that our golf day will be an annual event, which will ensure the Royal Children’s Hospital will gain substantially over the coming years,” he said.  

“We are very pleased that 3HA/981 have chosen to sponsor our event, and have been supported by many businesses in Hamilton, Hamilton Golf and of course the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal team.

“Everyone has been fabulous, and we can guarantee a great day of golfing on the 04/02/2024.”

Booking brochures have been published widely on social media and information at other clubs throughout Victoria.

Bookings will close on January 28, 2024.
