THIS Saturday the Dunkeld & District Historical Museum will hold their open day and Trash and Treasure markets, with stall holders selling a variety of goods as well as a live music performance by local artist, Emily Elliott.
Dunkeld & District Historical Museum secretary, Joyce Gordon, said the purpose of the open day was to raise funds for the not-for-profit museum which is entirely run by volunteers.
“We are hoping for a large crowd of people to come and see our collection of local district history, a sock making demonstration and a guided tour of the museum by local historians,” she said.
The stalls will include new and old wares, cigarette tins, tupperware, flavourista gluten and nut free products, dog treats, cake and bake, crochet items, pyrography, medicinal aloe vera and organic honey, arts and craft, golden books and second-hand books, DVDs and much more.
The museum’s entry fees will be waived for the day, with a gold coin donation on entry appreciated. Anyone who gives a gold coin donation will go into the draw for the museum’s lucky door prize.
The museum would like to thank their many raffle sponsors. All raffle prizes will be drawn on the day at 2pm.
