SOUTHERN Grampians Shire has issued a friendly reminder that public feedback on the draft Hamilton Showgrounds Master Plan is due before January 30, 2024.

The purpose of the Plan is to identify a long-term vision and future project actions across the Hamilton Showgrounds precinct.

It will include plans to improve access, circulation, amenities and facilities and aims to celebrate Hamilton’s rich agricultural roots and improve spaces to support flexible events and community uses.

The Plan focuses on enhancing and improving the overall look, feel and functionality of a well-designed and operational events venue and especially to identify ways to improve the site facilities for all users and to better support major events over the next 10 years.

Council worked closely with the Showgrounds Advisory Committee to create the Master Plan, which draws from the existing Hamilton Showgrounds Master Plan (2007) and the Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society Master Plan (2020).

Public feedback on the draft is invited to be sent to recreation@sthgrampians.vic.gov.au
