ONE of two people involved in a single car accident was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled over at Chatsworth at about 5pm Monday night.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson told The Spectator that paramedics were called to an incident in Chatsworth around 5.20pm
Mortlake State Emergency Service (SES) crews were called to the accident site and joined with local CFA and Ambulance Victoria crews to extricate the pair from the vehicle.
SES Regional Duty Officer Tristan Crews said upon attending the single vehicle accident scene, the vehicle was on its side in the reserve near the intersection of the Chatsworth-Caramut Road and the Hamilton-Chatsworth Road, at Chatsworth.
“CFA and Ambulance Victoria, (AV) and the Mortlake SES unit turned out to attend the scene at about 5.20pm,” he said.
“Both occupants were awake and conscious at the time.
“Three agencies worked together to get the patients out of the vehicle to hand them over to AV for treatment.”
