THE Southern Grampians Shire Council (SGSC) has launched a revamped new-look website focused on providing a greater user experience for residents.
The website has retained the ability to search bin nights by address, features local maps, offers a downloadable road register, provides event information as well as the latest Council news.
SGSC chief executive, Tony Doyle said the new, purpose-built website has been designed with the community in mind to make it easier to access essential information around Council services and facilities.
“It is focused on user experience with the top-most requested services in mind,” he said.
“We will also feature animals available for adoption on the Pets and Animals pages, which partnered with our much-loved adoption videos on Facebook, aims to expand the promotion of our successful rehoming program.
“The intuitive search bar is a new function that enables community to find documents, forms and key information which was a point of frustration with the former site.”
Mr Doyle also said while Council continue to value face-to-face amenity, providing up-to-date information on permits, grants, and services in one online location is a resource he has encouraged all residents to use.
“I encourage you to visit our new site and take a look for yourself,” he said.
“We will continue to focus on site improvement from community and user feedback, so please let us know what you think via our online comment options.”
