ROTARY Hamilton have strived to move the conversation surrounding domestic and family related violence forward, with all invited to attend a complimentary breakfast later this month to continue these important discussions.
In the hope to amplify the message of saying ‘NO’ to domestic and family violence, and ‘YES’ to respectful relationships within the community, Rotary Hamilton have invited Warrnambool representatives from Bethany Community Support and the Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SAFV) centre to attend as guest speakers on the morning.
Guest speaker and Bethany Community Support South West services manager, Danielle Lavithis, has provided a range of services such as financial counselling, Gambler’s Help, emergency relief, support for families and tenancy assistance.
Representatives from SAFV, also known as the Emma House, will also come together at the breakfast to help support women and children impacted by family violence in the community.
Rotary will also be seeking sponsorships and partnerships in the belief that combining action together can make a difference.
Those wishing to attend are urged to RSVP by Saturday, June 15 via email at jhurse23@gmail.com to help give an indication of catering numbers.
The free breakfast will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 7.15- 8.30am, at The Speckled Frog Cafe, 106 Gray St, Hamilton.
