Rotary POW awards

THE Rotary Club of Hamilton (RCH) recently held the annual Pride of Workmanship Awards (POW) presentation.

 The objectives of the awards have been to promote Vocational Service, encourage Pride of Workmanship in all vocations and provide employers/ clients with an opportunity to recognise employees who display qualities that were worthy of an award.

On Wednesday at the Speckled Frog, six such awards were presented by special guest, Rotary District governor, Ian McKay.

This year, the following POW awardees were nominated by members of the RCH:

Unicraft Joinery managing director, Warren Butcher; J I Building director, John Iredell; Elders Senior Sales Support officer, Ann Hiscock; Monivae Student Wellbeing director, Kate Couchman; Huf Builders PTY LTD director, Ron Huf and Regent Florist owner, Louise McLennan.

“The Rotary Club of Hamilton takes great pleasure in conducting this annual event , which recognizes one of the Rotary International’s founding cornerstones,” Rotary Vocational chairman, James Dunn said.

“Rotarians, awardees and their guests enjoyed a night of fellowship after an excellent dinner thanks to Jordy and his team.”
