Rainy days, muddy feet, Lacey runs, joy complete

LOCAL residents have recently had to rug up as a blast of chilly wind and rain has hit the town. This month, there have only been six days without rain in Hamilton, with the highest 24-hour total so far being nine millimetres falling by 9am Tuesday. With rain forecast for much of the rest of the week and no temperatures above 13, Agriculture Victoria has issued a warning for farmers with cattle, as the energy requirements of cows can increase by up to 20 per cent in wet and windy conditions.
