AS Sheepvention is only just around the corner, volunteers have been called to help make it a huge success by offering a hand to assist on setup and pack up ‘Working Bee’ days.

Behind every event, there is a lot that goes on behind-the-scenes to ensure all runs smoothly.

Whether volunteers are professional or just eager to lend a hand, there will be task for anyone who is willing to help out.

The Working Bee will run over two days: Wednesday, July 31 (setup) and Tuesday August 6 (pack up) from 8am onwards, at the Hamilton Showgrounds.

Some of the tasks involved will be setting up and packing down sheep panels and exhibit dividers, distributing straw and plants, cleaning and distributing chairs, installing and hanging up signage, general support and assistance, providing smiles and keeping tummies full.

It will be a great opportunity for volunteers to meet new people in the local community and learn more about the behind-the-scenes work.
