Mid-year graduates celebrate

 IN an inspiring ceremony held at the Kantor Family Performing Arts Centre, Rural Industries Skill Training (RIST) chief executive officer, Bill Hamill, proudly congratulated more than 40 graduating students on their achievements, with the RIST chairman, Tony Fleetwood, presenting the certificates and awards.

The graduates, who completed courses ranging from Certificate II and III in Agriculture to Diploma of Agriculture, represent the next generation of leaders in agriculture.

 The mid-year graduation marked the second graduation ceremony hosted by RIST in 2024, following a previous event in March dedicated to the Class of 2023.

“It is always a fantastic event to witness the culmination of our students' hard work,” Mr Hamill said.

“We are immensely proud of their achievements, which reflect not only their eagerness to learn and apply their skills but also the unwavering support from their families, employers, schools, industry partners and our dedicated RIST staff and trainers,” he added.

 RIST remains committed to fostering the development of skilled professionals in agriculture and related industries, ensuring that their graduates are well-equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.

 Several students were presented with awards on the night including the following Certificate II in Agriculture Graduates; an excellence in study award went to Ella Gapes and a dedication to study award went to Makayla Vickers.

Also awarded were the following  Cert III in Agriculture Graduate; excellence in study awards went to Benjamin Vallance, Samuel Price and Kiarna Murfett, dedication to study awards went to Amelia Rowett and Hunter Bennett, while leadership awards went to Jake Tonissen and Cara Williamson.

 RIST wish all their outgoing graduates all the very best in their career and education pathways and are always appreciative that they shared part of their journey.
