NOMINATIONS for the 2025 Southern Grampians Shire Community Awards, presented on Australia Day, are now open until November 29.
Year after year, these prestigious awards honour the very best in our community and shine a well-deserved spotlight on their achievements.
These awards are open to individuals and groups who best exemplify core values within our community.
Southern Grampians Shire Council (SGSC) chief executive, Tony Doyle, has encouraged everyone to reflect on the people in their lives who deserve to be recognised.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have such inspiring, compassionate, and selfless people in our region,” he said.
“Whether it’s a neighbour, a colleague, a family member, or a volunteer, we all know someone who makes a positive impact in our community.
“These awards offer a unique opportunity to honour them and create lasting memories of appreciation.”
The Southern Grampians Shire 2025 Community Awards will include four categories:
Young Citizen of the Year – For residents under 25 who have made a significant contribution to the community, either this year or over several years.
