Balmoral boy in accident

A FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Balmoral boy doing work experience at a Hamilton business has suffered severe burns to his face, hands and torso when removing a radiator hose from a car last week.

It was only Codi Walmsley’s third day on the job last Wednesday when he removed the hose from the car, and the fluid started to shoot out in the workshop.

Soon after, Codi was flown by air ambulance to the Royal Melbourne where he was immediately placed into a coma and underwent emergency surgery.

It is believed the teen will take about six to 12 weeks to recover.
