OLD friends and football family came together at the weekend in an emotion-charged celebration of the Casterton Football Club’s 1990 Western Border Football League senior premiership.
While not everyone could make it - including the late Ian Willersdorf, whose contribution and place on the team was remembered and celebrated - those players, committee members and selectors who did, were relieved to finally be able to gather after Covid-19 restrictions saw the reunion cancelled, two years in a row.
The 1990 Cats won their first WBFL grand final in 21 years, beating the Hamilton Magpies.
