THE Green Triangle Timber Industry Awards, planned for October 29, have been postponed until early 2022.
Based on the challenges posed by the pandemic over the past 18 months, the awards’ committee made the decision to postpone the awards evening.
“The committee recognises that our valued sponsors, attendees, and nominees from Victoria are significantly impacted by current government-imposed restrictions,” committee chairman, Adrian Flowers said.
“To continue forward and hold the event in their absence would undermine the event’s primary purpose to unite industry players and celebrate the outstanding achievements of award nominees and winners.
“The committee are looking forward to announcing a revised event date and continuing with plans to once again hold an extremely successful evening celebrating award winners and showcasing the industry’s innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly practices within the region.
“We will now use this time to launch a new and exciting initiative for the GTTIA Awards celebrating finalists across the nine all new award categories.
“Over the coming months, each award and finalist group will be featured across various platforms highlighting their contribution and impact across their employer, co-worker an industry networks.”
