FROM January 1, 2022, all sheep and goats must be e-tagged so they are identifiable under the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS).

This will mark the end of what has been a five-year rollout of electronic identification (EID) in Victoria, that will enable the lifetime traceability of all sheep and non-exempt goats.
