NUMBERS increased slightly in Hamilton last week, with 239 cattle put forward, including 172 cows, 52 trade and 15 bulls and the usual buyers were present and operated to good competition.

The week saw breed and line quality pick up within the trade run, which as a result saw improved prices across most weights.
