LANDOWNERS are urged to take all possible steps to protect valuable paddock trees, when burning stubble.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) advises that with fire restrictions in place until May, whether applying for a permit or waiting until restrictions ease, there may be an increase in this activity in the coming months.
