THIS is the very last Warrnambool cattle market after the council decision for the selling centre to close. A very sad day for all connections and the community involved - the facility opened in 1970 after moving from Swan Reserve in the township of Warrnambool.

Agents yarded 860 cattle of mixed quality with over half the yarding consisting of cows, a full field of buyers and extra on lookers to witness the sale, the market was firm to 20c dearer in places from last week’s levels.
