Whilst money certainly isn’t everything for most farm employees, getting pay rates right and putting together an appealing package is an important part of attracting and retaining the right people on farm.

Just about all employee on farm are covered by the Pastoral Award (2020) (‘Award’).  The Award sets out many obligations for employers, which includes paying overtime, penalties for public holidays and leave loading.
