THERE was a slight increase in last week’s cattle market as agents yarded 55 head, with the yarding being majority cows; the usual buyers were present.
There weren’t any trade cattle present to quote the market on, but there were some good pens of cows yarded with the best of the beef bred cows topping to 373 cents per kilogram; the cow yarding averaged 351c/kg to be 25-30 cents dearer on the previous week’s sale.
