THERE will be plenty of golf action in Hamilton this weekend with Parklands Golf Club hosting the men’s and women’s Victorian Sandgreens Championships, which will be played today and tomorrow.

PARKLANDS Golf Course will host some of the best golfers in Victoria this weekend when the Victorian Sandgreen Championships are held at the course for the third time.

IT seemed like the weather cleared just in time for an enjoyable Saturday afternoon of golf which was a Pinehurst teams competition.

A MERE 11 days remain until the 2022 Victorian Trimax Sandgreens Championships at the Parklands Golf Club on August 27 and 28.

Last Saturday's stroke event saw 41 men and five women take to the course with the August Monthly Medal up for grabs.

THE countdown is on with only three weeks to go until the hosting of the Victorian State Sandgreen Championships, and the course is seeing a frenzy of activity, with both male and female members painting boundary posts, hazard markers, raking up debris from the wind and mowing the fairways.

A FIELD of 45 men and eight women took to the course for Saturday’s stableford event.

PARKLANDS hosted visitors from around the district on Sunday for its annual four-person ambrose day.

LIFE membership is not something that people strive for when they join a club or an organisation and for Darryl Shaw that was certainly the case when he first fronted up to the Coleraine Golf Club 30 years ago.
