Laser focus for group at workshop

TRAINING and competitions have been heavily impacted by coronavirus, but some sports have returned to some normality in recent weeks.

A group of local kids converged in Byaduk to practice their laser shooting with many in the group avid pentathletes or tetrathlon competitors.

Katherine Cameron was one of the organisers and said it was a successful event.

“Kate Thompson (from Modern Pentathlon Victoria) has been wanting to come up and Sally Mason and myself have been pushing for an event here,” she said.

“Between the three of us, we have been working on it since the start of the year, but COVID-19 meant it was delayed.”

The workshop had about 17 kids spread across multiple groups to ensure COVID-19 guidelines were followed with pentathlete and Olympic hopeful, Tully Watt, also in attendance.
