Hub’s big coup

THE best young cricket talent in the state is set to converge in Hamilton in January for a mini tournament in place of the Cricket Australia Under-17 National Championships.

If COVID-19 restrictions allow, the full Cricket Victoria Under-17 Male Emerging Performance Squad will come to Hamilton for a four-match tournament, with the squad divided into teams with the South Australian Under-17 squad also set to be involved.

It is a big boost for the region which coincides with the opening of the Western Country Regional Cricket Hub at Monivae College with the Ballarat Road venue set to share the hosting duties of the talent pathway tournament with Dunkeld Turf.
