FAR Western Bowls Division’s top tier midweek pennant bowls contest gave Hamilton Green a big win on one rink and Coleraine played a draw on the other to keep the club one point ahead on the ladder. 

Elma Astbury with Jenny Pole, Cate Levett and Ron McDonald put together the highest score of the season with 42 shots to Beverley Fry and compatriots’ 13.

That win was worth two ladder points, while Geraldine McDonald and Therese Sealey played out a 17 all draw on the adjoining rink to finish with one point each.
