THE South West Academy of Sport (SWAS) held its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday night with local athletes Harry Clark and Stella Rogers coming away with awards.

Rogers has been a member of SWAS since the beginning of this year and already her involvement has seen her receive recognition.

A keen netballer, she was faced with one of the more difficult years of her young life, travelling to Monivae for her year seven studies and working through a sport year interrupted by COVID-19.

Rogers’ mum, Teressa Rogers was proud of what her daughter was able to achieve and said at the end of the day she just wants to play sport.
