FRESH after representing Australia at the International Gymnix gymnastics competition in Canada in March, Miriana Perkins is now pursuing a different sport.

Perkins has retired from gymnastics and has taken up aerial skiing as a way to keep challenging herself.

The 17-year-old said she was comfortable with the timing of it all.
