Heywood Pony Club Stockman’s Challenge a success

HEYWOOD Pony Club’s second annual Stockman’s Challenge was a resounding success on the weekend, with more than double the entrants from last year’s competition.

This being the first stockman challenge in over six months, the local community was keen to get on board with the event, which saw 41 competitors in the encourage section alone.

Entrants competed in five sections: Tiny tots (for those who need assistance when riding), junior (for those under the age of 16), two ‘encourage’ sections (for those unfamiliar with the stockman style of equestrian), novice (for those slightly more experienced), and open (for those who are familiar with the style).
