AFL Victoria’s new return to play guidelines has shed some light on the parameters that are likely to be in place for the start of the 2021 season.
Despite new cases in Melbourne, the new guidelines were released last Friday and outline crowd caps, canteen requirements and changeroom use policies for the foreseeable future.
All community football and netball gamedays will be tier three events by default, meaning up to 1000 spectators can attend with individual groups unable to exceed 100.
Games which are expected to attract bigger crowds can be upgraded to tier two by applying for a permit six weeks prior to the day, allowing up to 5000 spectators to attend.
