State titles in sight for THAC rowers

SEVEN junior Hamilton and Alexandra College rowers will be hoping for strong performances at the Rowing Victoria Junior Girls State Championships at Geelong’s Barwon River today.

With an interrupted 2020-2021 season already experiencing disruptions, the two Year 9 single scullers can expect tough competition from Bairnsdale, Barwon, Corowa, and PLC Melbourne in the 19 strong division one pool. 

Olivia Handbury and India Ross were looking forward to contesting the quad scull events at the state titles but like most sports during this pandemic, injuries to other crew members have forced the two capable rowers into single sculls.
