Glenelg wins junior hockey title

THE Glenelg Under-13 girls team claimed top honours at the Junior Country Championships, winning its final against Albury-Wodonga, 3-0, in Melbourne on Sunday.

The team played four games and went through without a loss to progress to the final and eventually win the decider.

Under-13 girls coach, Penny Fraser said it was a great team effort and everyone enjoyed the win.

“We all went in with low expectations and my philosophy was just to have fun, have a run and really support each other,” she said.
