Winter solstice run ready to hit the road again

THE 2021 Winter Solstice Fun Run will hit the road on June 20, COVID-19 circumstances permitting, with more than enough runners to make the annual event a success.

While current restrictions do not allow for adults to participate in community sport, organisers are hopeful those restrictions will be further relaxed this week and the Winter Solstice event can proceed as planned.

The annual run was cancelled last year, but numbers for this year’s event are tracking well in comparison to 2019 across the three distances – the 25km trail run that as first introduced in 2019, alongside the traditional 15km and 9km runs.
