Crowds increased

THE prospect of community football and netball games this weekend has been boosted with crowds allowed back at games from Friday.

A government spokesperson told The Spectator that the spectator caps would be increased when restrictions eased at 11.59pm tonight.

“For an outdoor venue, patrons up to a thousand people can attend,” they said.

“Patrons must not exceed groups of 50 in an area and the 1000-person cap includes the minimum people required for the activity to go ahead.

“Indoor venues are capped at 300 people per indoor space and that includes players, coaches and other required people for the game to go ahead.”
