IT has been another successful few weeks for local pentathletes, Zoe Addinsall and Matilda Mason.

Both competed in New Zealand recently, with Addinsall winning the Under-17 pentathlon and Mason finishing second in the Under-15 event.

Mason then returned back to Australia, while Addinsall and a handful of other Aussie competitors stayed back to compete in the Fencing North Waikato Larsen Tournament, where she placed fifth in the Open Women section.

It caps off a strong few weeks after Addinsall and Mason claimed Hamilton’s Junior Sportswoman of the Year and the runner-up award respectively.

There is no rest for the pair though, with more competitions coming up.

Addinsall is also set to travel to Coffs Harbour next month for a fencing camp, having also been nominated for a sports award in Ballart, where she is currently boarding to complete her education.
