ON Monday, Robyn Thomassen and Leah McCabe competed in the State Pairs Finals at Penshurst.
They won the semi-final against the Balmoral pairing before losing in the final to Heather McIntyre from Hamilton and Barbara Moore from Heywood.
The club’s Men’s and Women’s Singles Championships have progressed to the semi-finals.
In the men’s match-ups, Bert Partington plays Ken Prewett and Kevin Bailey plays Fred Hardy, with the winners progressing to the final.
The Women’s first semi-final has been played with Robyn Thomassen defeating Julie Pollock, 25-22, in a very close game.
Thomassen will then play the winner of the second semi-final between Irene Box and Nettie Ryan.
On Saturday, the last pennant games were played before the Christmas break.
Both division one and division three travelled to Portland.
Division one played Portland and division three played Memorial.
Division four was at home against Coleraine.

Entries are being taken for the Men’s and Women’s Pairs, which will be played on January 8 and 15, or if these dates do not suit, players can arrange to play their games over those two weeks.
Social bowls will be played on Saturdays at 1pm until pennant resumes on January 21.
Try Bowls will also recommence on January 10 at 6pm. Everybody welcome.
