Local driver Angus Hollis also showed some form, finishing in sixth place in the A Main race.
Super Sedans were also on show on Friday night, with the class returning to the track for the first time in years.
Jamie Collins claimed first place followed by Lee Aylett and Darren Giacometti rounding out the placings in third.
Plenty of young drivers also took to the track in the Junior Sedan class with Max Leerson taking top spot while Arthur Hutchinson claimed second and Flynn Annett finished third.
The action at Southern 500 Speedway will continue this Saturday night with the feature calendar event, the Anton Domburg Caravan Races on show. More details of Saturday’s action will be published in Friday’s Observer.
