HANNAH Munro’s prowess with a firearm continues to impress, the 18-year-old returning home from the latest national championships a four-times medallist.
The combined Australian Clay Target Association and International Shooting Sport Federation Commonwealth and National titles, held in Perth, WA, again saw Munro lining up against Olympic and Commonwealth champions, still classified a junior in her sport and the youngest on the ISSF women’s circuit.
Olympic standard - one shot allowed per target and shooting ‘gun down’ - the stock below the waist until the target is sighted - Munro took out first place in the C Grade competition, second in the juniors and fifth in the women’s final in the Commonwealth competition.
Just days later, however, she jumped up a place, taking fourth in the women’s national, first in C Grade and third in the juniors.
